Jim Rumbaugh
Head Coach
Jim has been heading up Pilot Aquatic Club since 2008. In 2011 Jim was chosen to be a coach for the USA Junior National Team and traveled to Lima, Peru along with Pilot swimmer, Evan Pinion. Jim also served as Head Coach of Tennessee Aquatics and as a volunteer assistant coach for the Men's Swimming program at the University of Tennessee. He also coached seven years at Dynamo Swim Team in Atlanta and also served as Head Coach of Lompoc Tsunami Swim Team in Lompoc CA. He was a team captain of the University of Tennessee Men's team for two years, was a five time All-American. Jim is married and is a 3rd degree black-belt in Taekwondo and is an avid golfer.

Jackie Bussard-Bertucci
Head Age Group Coach
Jackie, the daughter of legendary UT and Olympic coach Ray Bussard, is our Head Age Group Coach. She joined Pilot as a coach in 1994 and has since become one of the top age group coaches in the country. Jackie's recognition and accolades include being named Southeastern Swimming Age Group Coach of the year in 1999, 2002, 2003 as well as Age Group Chair of Southeastern swimming from 2002-2006. She also served as Head Coach of the Southeastern Zone All-Star Team in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Jackie was elected by her peers to the board of Southeastern Swimming and has served from 2002 to present. In the summers, she has been involved as a swimmer, parent and coach for the Knoxville Racquet Club and served as their Head Coach this past season. Prior to coming to Pilot, Jackie coached for several years with the UT Continuing Education swim program and at swim camps at Mercersberg, PA, St. Lawrence, NY and St. Bonaventure, NY. Jackie enjoys giving swimming lessons, being a instructor trainer for the Red Cross and spending time with her husband and, Chris, and sons, Henry and Stephen.

Jimmy Dabney
Senior Assistant Coach
Jimmy grew up in Charlotte, NC. He has been a competitive swimmer for 12 years. (8-MAC, 4-UT) – Sprint Freestyler . While swimming for the University of Tennessee for John Trembley, Jimmy earned 3 time Letterman, 1 time All-American (800 Free Relay). Jimmy graduated from UT in 2009 with a Bachelor in Business Administration.
Jimmy has been with Pilot Aquatic Club for 3 years and has coached coached Whittington Creek Summer league swim team for 3 years and Powell High School last year. Jimmy will be heading up with Drew Quinn(former Pilot swimmer) and will be a Co-head coaching for the Farragut Admirals in 2010-2011 season. Jimmy's favorite dryland is to play Ultimate Frisbee.

Lizzie Fleming,
Junior Group
Lizzie is thrilled to re-join the Pilot coaching staff and family. Lizzie has been very involved in Summer League and High School swimming in Knoxville since 1998. Lizzie just completed her 6th season as head coach of the Gulfwood Gators. The Gators had a great season finishing top 8 at the GKAISA City Meet. On the high school front, she will begin her 6th season with Webb School of Knoxville, where she was named Women’s co-coach of the year in 2006. She has developed numerous city and state meet finalists and the team has been state runner-ups for the past 3 years. As a swimmer, Lizzie swam for Webb School and was a 4 year letter recipient and state finalist. She completed her swimming career as a member of the Radford University swim club. Outside of the pool, Lizzie lives in Knoxville with her husband, Danny Fleming.

Brett Tannhauser,
High School Pre-Competitive Group
Brett is from Seattle Washington. He has been swimming since he was eight and it has been in his life ever since. Brett started year round swimming when he was ten for Shilshole Aquatic Club, which is now called Salmon Bay. While swimming for them he was a National qualifier as well as an Olympic Trial Qualifier. In high school, he was seven time State Champion in the 200 free and 500 free as well as State Record holder in both events. After high school, Brett went to the University of Tennessee where he swam for four years. During those years at UT, he was SEC champion, twice once in the 500 free and once in the 800 free relay and was an All American and four-time letter winner. Brett graduated UT in May 2003 with a degree in Communications and minor in Information Science. Brett coaches the Cherokee Country Club swim team. Brett & wife, Summer live in Knoxville and Brett teaches at Episcopal School of Knoxville

Stephen "Boogie" Langdon,
Black Group
Boogie is a Knoxville native who has been involved in swimming his whole life. Growing up Boogie swam for University Club in the summer and also swam on Pilot under Jackie Bussard-Bertucci. He was a four year letter recipient in swimming at Webb High School. His coaching career began at Village Green as an assistant coach for five years, winning GKAISA city meet his last year. During that time he was also an assistant coach for Farragut High school. The Admirals won the KISL city meet his second year with the team. He then served as the Green Meadow head coach for two years before being pulled back to his roots and hired as the head coach of Village Green. Last summer the team won their third GKAISA city meet. He is beginning his third season as the Bearden High School head coach. The Bulldogs are 4 time defending KISL city champions and were the runner up at state the last three years. The past two summers he has served as one of the coaches for the Southeastern Zone team. This will be his fourth year with Pilot Aquatic Club.

Jamie Tannhauser-Haman
Gold Group
Jamie Tannhauser-Haman is from Seattle, Washington. She started swimming at the age of six for Salmon Bay Aquatic Club. Jamie went on to become a high school state champion, National Junior team member and a Finalist at the 2000 Olympic Trials in the 800 meter freestyle. She swam for the University of Florida and is a Gator at heart. During the day Jamie works at the Episcopal School of Knoxville as a third grade assistant. Jamie has four years of club coaching experience as well as five years of summer league coaching under her belt. She is excited to start her fifth year of club coaching with Pilot.

Joeseph Clay
Red Group
Being a Knoxville native, Joseph is very excited about coming on board with the Pilot coaching staff. He is a current senior at The University of Tennessee working on a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Joseph has coached the West Side YMCA summer league team from 2008-2010, with this being his first year as head coach. He has also served as an assistant coach to Gatlinburg Aquatic USA team of 2010. Joseph’s passion for swimming and coaching continues to climb with each coaching opportunity. He also enjoys giving swim lessons and teaching American Red Cross CPR and Lifeguarding courses and is a member of the American Swimming Coaches Association.
